Safety is one of our company core values, and as such we are one of only 11 000 companies within Alberta to hold the Certificate of Recognition (COR) safety certification, which ensures that our safety program is up to date, evaluated by a certified auditor annually and meets provincial standards established by the provincial Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR) program. In addition, we have also completed our Moisture Control Certification course through SAIT to better understand how to properly protect our clients projects from ever changing weather conditions.

Alcana was hired by our general contractor as the siding team in a larger building envelope repair on our duplex in late 2021. As we were replacing stucco with Hardie fibre cement lap siding, this was not as easy as installing siding on a new build. Additionally, we were living in the home at the time of installation. The crew was awesome! They always watched out when we had to walk to and from the house, often with our two young children and cleaned up the site at the end of each day. They worked through the coldest days of the year trying to get our project done as fast as possible and only stopped when it was too cold for their air compressors to work at -20! From what we saw, everything was done according to the James Hardie installation instructions. The installation was done quickly and professionally and we are very happy with the results.
